Here you can find data and documentation from completed IEA studies.
At the moment, data are available from CivED, ICCS, ICILS, Joint TIMSS & PIRLS, PIRLS, PrePIRLS, RL II, SITES, TIMSS, TIMSS Advanced and TEDS. Data from future studies will be added as soon as the respective international database is released.
Data is available in SPSS, SAS and RAW format. Data is accompanied by several SPSS and SAS programs for Jackknifing procedures and additional statistical procedures. User Guides to the data, published International Reports and other documentation like codebooks and almanacs are also available for download. It is strongly recommended that you refer to the respective User Guide when working with data.

Accessing TEDS-M Data

Data from the TEDS-M Study is available for free directly from the IEA Secretariat. Given the sensitive nature of the data contained in the TEDS-M database, and risks of disclosing personal information of the participants, you will need to complete an
"Affidavit of Nondisclosure and User Agreement for Using the TEDS-M 2008 Databases".

TIMSS 2015 Restricted Use Data

The TIMSS 2015 Restricted Use Data will only be made available upon special request by researchers. It contains all data freely available in the TIMSS 2015 Public Use Data, plus the additional variables listed below.

Researchers who want to use the additional data below need to formally apply and provide reasoning why they would need the additional data. They need to agree not to disclose any individuals.

If you are interested to work with the Restricted Use Data will need to apply using the IEA Restricted Use Data Application Form. In addition, you need to sign the Restricted Use Agreement. Please download, complete and sign both the application form and the agreement, and send it to RandA@iea-dpc.de.

The application will be reviewed by IEA staff who will decide upon access to the data. Applicants will get feedback within 3-4 weeks. In case access is granted to the applicant, the IEA will provide details on how to access the restricted use data.
